Christmas time is my favorite time of the year! I love all the pretty decorations, peace, joy, and SPARKLE that the holidays bring. It's a time to spend with loved ones, families, and friends. The holidays also bring us different events, concerts, plays, and gatherings. When a girl receives an invite to one of these holiday affairs, she can't help but get those horrible and frustrating thoughts of "What do I wear?" Then she can't help but think, "Well that's it ... I am not going." Every girl has had a time or two like this. For me, this happens more times than not. I like to call this "Grinch Talk." Some of you may not know where the quotes above came from, so I'll help you out with that one! (Check out the video below)
It's funny to say that the Grinch's quote, from the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas, is actually what it feels like when you have no idea what to wear. I am a firm believer that if your comfortable in what your wearing then your confidence will flourish. You must find something that you personally feel good in. It doesn't matter the size or where you buy it from, as long as you feel good in it!
With all the holiday events going on this year, I have found the perfect dress to solve all that "Grinch Talk." This adorable dress, that I'm showing off below, can be dressed up with nude heels or dressed down with booties or boots. If your feeling really spicey, you can pair it with a cute pair of tights for the cold winter nights. This dress is super comfortable for any occasion and it's a hot item this holiday season. I bought this specific dress at Anthropologie, here in Dallas. The dress is a long sleeved, flowy, and velvet shirtdress. Velvet is totally in this season too! It comes in three different colors, green, mauve, and light grey. I am tempted to order another one in green! (oopsy) My favorite part of the dress is the inside of the cuffs. They have a cute plaid pattern for the option to roll the cuffs up. This dress is for sure my favorite this holiday season! I wore it the other weekend to a friends dance competition and I received so many compliments. Trust me, it's a real winner! I'm already planning to wear it to Church on Christmas Eve.
As for my accessories, the earings were made at the Color Bar at Kendra Scott. I love creating pieces at the color bar because it allows me to be creative with designs. The Color Bar is also great because you can wear pieces that aren't in the store or online. These specific earings are the Alexa Statement Earings with silver metal and slate cat eye on the top and bottom.
Now get out there and dont let the Grinch steal your Christmas this holiday season!
