There is something about corduroy that makes everything feel just a little cozier and it always feels nostalgic to me. I used to wear a lot of it when I was young but honestly I haven’t worn it in years. I saw this skirt on Christmas Eve while running around finding last minute gifts and immediately loved it. I didn’t end up buying it but surprisingly, I got it for Christmas from my mom. She knows me so well!
Being home during the holiday break has been so nice and refreshing! I miss being with my family so it’s been enjoyable soaking it all in. This day was a perfect day in Carlsbad with blue skies, cool breeze and sunny skies… a typical fall day in Southern California.
I choose to pair my skirt with a black long sleeved shirt, booties, and an adorable scarf. I also plan to wear it with a turtleneck and knee high boots for a completely different look. The accessories I paired this outfit with were simple earrings and bangles from Sophia and Chole. The wintery storefronts in Downtown Carlsbad made this deep red skirt stand out. During this shoot, we spotted some changing leaves which never happens in Southern California. The different colored leaves made this skirt just pop, which made me even happier!
Shout out to the 90s kids! Comment below if you were like me and wore this adorable little skirt when you were a kid!!
Hope y’all had a fun and safe New Years Eve & New Years Day!
Love from Texas,
