I can’t get over it… Corbin is ONE!! Y’all I have a one year old running round the house.

January 30th it was Corbin’s first birthday. From the start, I knew I wanted to go all out for his party. I had a blast spending time working my creative party planning juices. Some of you might not be surprised that this came easy… I’m such a planner. Clearly this party was done up and over the top… but listen this mama wanted to throw a party!

I hope that this blog post is helpful for your inspiration! This theme could be great for girls too or even a shower! If you are planning a western/ cowboy/ rodeo party be sure to tag or share with me, @styledbysequins on IG. I’d love to see how I inspired you.
Okay y’all, let’s saddle up cowboys and cowgirls, this was one rootin tootin party….
Corbin’s First Birthday
We turned our house into a corral for Corbin’s first birthday party, aka “The Hodges Corral!” If you look at the pictures, y’all could probably tell everything was very detailed. haha that’s just how I work. There were nights where I would stay up past midnight on pinterest! This mama was made for this! I knew I wanted his bday to be a cowboy/western theme. Living in TX and loving him in cowboy boots it just fit.

Signage from Bash Celebrations- I know personally know Diana. I was her son’s kindergarten teacher. The year I had her son, I was pregnant and Diana threw a baby shower with my class. It was precious. If are local to DFW you can reach out to her personally to see what she can create. She did our welcome sign and milestone sign for Corbin’s first rodeo. I even had her do a little vinyl things here and there, like the awesome shipping pallet you see!
Howdy sign and chalk tag- Chalk Designs
Food labels and cake topper- Charlie Chalk
Ribbon banner, high chair banner, confetti, milestone photo banner and smash cake topper – Confetti Mama
Now for the food…

Each food at a fun slogan or tagline to go with it. I loved getting creative the each. Thanks to Pinterest for all the fun ideas, can’t take all the credit. After this party, this first birthday might top the charts.

Terry Sensational Cakes in Keller did his cake and smash cake. I sent pictures of some inspo and she did it just the way I hoped. I love how affordable her cakes are and she was able to do it on short notice too. Supporting small businesses right now are super important right now and I know those businesses appreciate the business.
The cookies are amazing! She did an incredible job, they looked so unreal and detailed. These cookies from Confetti Yeti were the talk of the party. I think it’s a rare find to have a baker that makes beautiful desserts that actually taste delicious too. I sent her several photos of my cookie visions & she went above & beyond with all of it.

The party was a rootin’ – tootin’ time and all the little cowboys and cowgirls had a blast. Everything turned out the exact way that I imagined. Other party things are linked below…
xoxo,
Kirstin
