The perfect outfit for this time of year! With Valentine’s Day here and all the love in the air it’s safe to say love does really win! On Styled by Sequins I’m sharing about this darling little outfit, but also getting in depth with some “faith” talk. It’s a good time to remember who ultimately loves us for us! (read more below)
Let’s chat about this cute little outfit. It’s what I call “street style!” I’ve been wearing more street style type of clothes more often and I’m kinda digging it. It’s cute, casual and trendy all at the same time!! I love to style graphic tees because how versatile they are. I went for more a casual look for this outfit. And YES, I’m wearing grandma Reebok sneakers! I LOVE them. (don’t make fun of me… you too will be wearing them soon I guarantee it!) They’re so trendy and all your favorite bloggers have been sporting them. I was hesitant at first, but they look really cute with leggings or even distressed boyfriend jeans. This look is perfect for running around town, out with the girls or a casual day at work! I’ve linked my outfit below & other similar styles too.
The title says it all friends!! Love really is all you need… but what does that look like?
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…” (Ephesians 2:8).
No matter what God’s love is so strong. That alone will always fulfill you. But how and why I’m a firm believer that God is love. Just the other day a kinder cute came to me and said God is in our hearts!! I smiled ear to ear when I heard this. In all honestly, that little kinder student of mine is right. God is in our hearts because God is love! It is true that God does loving things. But the more important truth is that God is love (1 John 4:8). God can’t help loving because it is an essential part of His character. With all His love he CARES! God sent His Son, Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus died for all our sins and for us to be saved. How powerful is that! See… Love does win! No one can love as much as Jesus Himself can love.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:3).
Listen friends, want to know the coolest thing about God? He loves us immensely. He really does!! No action we make and no sin that we commit can make Him love us any less. No matter how many bad decisions we make, God’s love for us never ends. God’s love surpasses human love. He loves us all for who we are and we can always depend on that love.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them” (1 John 4:16).
God’s love always win. With all the love that He loves with, He has a plan for our lives. For me personally, this is really hard because I struggle with having that control. I always have to keep reminding myself and praying about God’s plan. When I have that reminder the holy spirit brings a rushing feeling that God will not fail me. The Bible tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). God does have the perfect plan for all of us. The evil one is the one who makes us turn away from that. However, sometimes it seems like His plans are always different from our plans, but His plans are always perfect. He never does it all at once, just step by step because He wants to teach us to walk by faith, not by sight. It’s important that we are patient and trust in His timing.
I’ll never forget when our marriage pastor told Colin and I that we can love each other and fulfill each other as much as we can, but ultimately God is REALLY the only one who will and can. I thought that was so interesting, yet so true at the same time.
love ALWAYS wins.
