This sweater says it all!! Funny thing, when I was little I wasn’t a fan of going snowboarding. I pretty much dreaded I would get frustrated and I kept making hard falls. My parents put me in ski school for snowboarding and basically sent me off to the wolves it felt like. They gave me walkie talkies to make me feel better. Great and all, but those stinkin walkie talkies didn’t work!!! I hated snowboarding school. To this day I remember how dreadful it was. To this day I’m not a huge fan of snowboarding, but when we went to Mammoth Mountain (6 hours from Carlsbad,CA) I learned to love it a little more. It’s probably because the mountain wasn’t as crowded, the slopes were bigger and the snow was AWESOME!! Truth be told, good snow means good boarding.
When I saw this sweater at American Eagle I had to have it!! It made me think of all those memories as a child on the slopes. Instantly I knew I needed it. It was soo ME! Not only is it cute, comfy, and a must have for winter, it’s funny too. Who else is a ski school drop out like me?
I styled this sweater my favorite jeans and cozy snow boots that really did keep my toes warm!! I love this outfit not only for the mountains, but for cold wintery days too. I’m normally not into graphic sayings on sweaters. Some of them are too tacky for my liking. But, this one was totally up my alley. Another great plus about this sweater, IT’S ON SALE!! Snag yours quick while the sale last!
Fun fact- these pictures were shot on a frozen, snowy lake in Mammoth. I’ve always seen people walk on frozen lakes in the movies or from horror stories, but never in real life!! I was nervous at first, but Colin tricked me and said I was standing on rocks. Ya NO, I was totally on the frozen! Later on I didn’t care, I knew it was a bucket list thing I just had to do. Plus, the view is AMAZING!! We actually came back to Lake Mary in Mammoth twice because it was that gorgeous! Just look at it!!
Have a warm winter day y’all.
Love from Texas,
